The Crips Vow To Back Down In Trademark Battle With Nipsey Hussle And His Estate

It looks like Nip's estate has one less legal headache to worry about.

(AllHipHop News) Nipsey Hussle's old gang has decided to avoid a war with the late rapper's estate, over his famous motto.

In May, business reps for The Crips LLC applied to get the rights to Nip's saying "The Marathon Continues.

When the news hit the headlines, Nip's brother Blacc Sam immediately went to work to secure the rights for the rapper's estate, fearing a war could break out not only in court but on the streets.

A rep for Crips LLC issued a statement saying there would be no beefing over the trademark since they have dropped their bid to own the saying.

"There will absolutely be no trademark legal battle between their organization and Blacc Sam, brother of the late Nipsy Hussle,' rep for The Crips said in a statement. "[Crips LLC] respectively vows to support the wishes of Lauren London and the Asghedom family."
