(AllHipHop News) Def Jam Records is having a pretty busy start of the year. A day after Young Jeezy was arrested for allegedly imprisoning, assaulting and threatening his son, The-Dream announced today on his Instagram account that he is leaving Def Jam Records.
In a move he is deeming his "exodus", The Dream took to his personal Instagram account to announce his departure from Def Jam Records:
The-Dream has been signed on Def Jam Records since 2007 and reflected on the five projects he's released while signed by posting pictures and commentary of them on his Instagram account. Interestingly, he calls his 2010 album LoveKing "unappreciated and unfinished". LoveKing posted The-Dream's second lowest 1st week total of 58,000 copies sold, which was only surpassed by his final album on Def Jam, IV Play which sold 28,000 copies in its opening week.
