The Government Goes After Quavo And Takeoff Over Tax Bills

The Atlanta rap stars owe Uncle Sam some loot.

(AllHipHop News) Quavo and Takeoff reportedly owe thousands of dollars in back taxes in their home state of Georgia.

The Migos stars were reportedly hit with liens by officials from the Georgia Department of Revenue over unpaid taxes stemming from 2016.

Quavo, real name Quavious Marshall, owes $14,055.

Initially the sum was $9,000 but with interest and penalties he has incurred through missing payments dates the sum has almost doubled.

His bandmate and nephew, Takeoff, real name Kirsnick Ball, also received a bill for unpaid taxes totalling $14,348.23 from the same year, reportedly on the same day. Quavo and Takeoff's back taxes combined total $28,403.29 .

As well as being related – final member Offset is Quavo's cousin - the "Bad and Boujee" hitmakers, all grew up together in Lawrenceville, Georgia, where they eventually formed the chart-topping hip-hop group.

Offset, real name Kiari Kendrell Cephus, who recently welcomed his fourth child with wife, rapper Cardi B, has not been named as owing back taxes.

According to reports, the rappers earn a staggering $150,000 per concert.
