(AllHipHop News) Who knew you could hate rap music?

Well, the explicit lyrics may actually trigger you to do things you never could imagine.

Case in point here is one man who is accused of murder after a long history of hating on hip-hop music.

On July 4, Michael Adams was accused of slitting a teen's throat and killing him because he was listening to rap music.

Adams’ attorney said he was mentally ill and did not receive the appropriate medicine after being released from prison.

Adams claims he killed Elijah Al-Amin because the 17-year-old boy was listening to rap music. Adams said he was threatened because he has been attacked in the past by Blacks, Hispanics and Native Americans who listened to rap music.

"I had no sleep. The transport officers were playing loud rap music. I was tired and irritated," Adams reportedly said.

Earlier this week, Adams pleaded not guilty to suspicion of first-degree premeditated murder, which Al-Amin's family maintains is a blatant hate crime.
