The Recording Academy Claims Leaked List Of 2019 Grammy Winners Isn't Legitimate

Kendrick Lamar, Drake, and Cardi B lead the pack of nominees.

(AllHipHop News) The winners of the 61st Annual Grammy Awards are scheduled to be announced on February 10. While the golden gramophones will be given out that night, a list of alleged victors made its way to the internet.

According to the leak, Cardi B, Travis Scott, Drake, Beyoncé, Jay-Z, and Chloe x Halle are set to take home a trophy. However, the Recording Academy is denying the accuracy of the disclosure.

"There is no legitimacy to this," a spokesperson expressed to Billboard. "Grammy Awards results are not shared, even with Recording Academy staff members, until the day of the Grammy Awards ceremony, when names of the recipients are delivered by [accounting firm] Deloitte in sealed envelopes."

12-time Grammy winner Kendrick Lamar is going into the night with the most nominations. The TDE superstar was recognized 8 times by the Recording Academy. Drake follows his Hip Hop peer with 7 nominations. Scorpion is vying for Album Of The Year. Drizzy's hit "God's Plan" has the chance to win Record Of The Year and Song Of The Year.

Cardi B is also one of the most nominated acts. The Bronx rapstress is up for Record Of The Year ("I Like It"), Best Pop Duo/Group Performance ("Girls Like You"), Best Rap Performance ("Be Careful"), Best Rap Album (Invasion Of Privacy), and Album Of The Year (Invasion Of Privacy).

Travis Scott earned three nods, including Best Rap Album for Astroworld. The Carters (Beyoncé & Jay-Z) also picked up three nominations. Their Everything Is Love collaborative LP is competing in the Best Urban Contemporary Album category. Chloe x Halle is among the Best New Artist candidates.

The 61st Annual Grammy Awards airs Sunday, February 10 at 8 pm ET on CBS. Veteran R&B singer Alicia Keys will host the televised event.
