(AllHipHop News) According to multiple reports, Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter spent yesterday afternoon answering questions at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission offices in New York City. Investigators were expected to question the Hip Hop mogul about the Iconix Brand Group's alleged devaluation of Rocawear.
In 2007, Iconix bought $204 million worth of assets of the Rocawear clothing label which was co-founded by Carter. The company is now being probed for potential federal financial disclosure violations.
Jay was ordered by a judge to appear before the SEC. His legal team has insisted the legendary musician did not have any relevant information to share with the government agency.
