(AllHipHop News) The Weeknd's first album since his breakout LP Beauty Behind The Madness is an early commercial success.
Billboard reports the new project Starboy will land at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart after earning 348,000 equivalent album units in its first week of release.
That total puts The Weeknd in the third place for first-week sales numbers of 2016.
Starboy is only behind Drake’s Views with 1.04 million units and Beyonce’s Lemonade with 653,000 units.
Beauty Behind The Madness also opened at #1 in 2015.
The set collected 412,000 album-equivalent units in its initial week.
