The exhibit covers 15 years of the Hip Hop subgenre.

(AllHipHop News) Trap Music is being commemorated with a pop-up art museum in Atlanta. Fifteen years after Tip "T.I." Harris dropped his Trap Muzik album, the ATL-bred emcee is helping to honor the southern sound as a curator for the exhibition.

"The words 'trap' and 'music' had never been put together to form a phrase before I did it in 2003," stated Tip earlier this year. He added, "Before August 19, 2003, the term didn't exist. The term 'trap' existed. But 'trap' and 'music' put together as a phrase was never done before and whatever happened after that is under that whether you like it or not."

The exhibit will feature some of the most memorable moments in the history of the Trap subgenre. Artwork will celebrate acts such as T.I., Young Jeezy, Gucci Mane, 21 Savage, 2 Chainz, Rick Ross, Future, Migos, and more.

In addition, the museum will include an “Escape the Trap” room. Guests will have to crack codes and follow clues in order to attempt to break free from the trap house.

The Trap Music Museum official opening is scheduled for Sunday, September 30. For more information, visit trapmusicmuseum.us.
