Trae Tha Truth Explains His New Video Dedication To Houston

Trae Tha Truth re-released one of his classic songs as a dedication to his hometown of Houston.

(AllHipHop News) Houston rapper Trae Tha Truth reached into his catalog to release a new video for his 2015 single "Trying To Figure It Out (Houston Hurricane Harvey Dedication)."

Trae has been gaining universal appraise, for his efforts in helping out the local Houston community, which was drenched by Hurricane Harvey.

Over 1 million people were displaced from their homes during the flooding, while another 82 people lost their lives.

Trae was very active during the storm, rescuing locals in need, and launching a GoFund Me through his Angels by Nature nonprofit organization.

The rapper's video for "Trying To Figure It Out (Houston Hurricane Harvey Dedication)" shows the flooding in devastation Houston suffered, yet serves as an inspirational piece as the Houston community rebuilds.

"The song fits the mood of the people in my community right now," explained Trae. "I was watching people post videos from Houston putting the song in the background, and it just so happens that the performance part of the video was shot a year or two years ago.

"Phillyflyboy took it upon himself to place footage from Houston right now into what we already had with performance footage," the rapper continued. "It fits perfect because it shows the reality of what's going with Houston. I'm not into promoting music right now, but I feel light needs to be shed so that people know what we're going through."

The original version of the song is featured on Trae's 2015 album Tha Truth.
