(AllHipHop News) Houston rapper Trae the Truth and Meek Mill earned their titles of "hometown heroes" in their respective cities over the Christmas holiday.
Trae the Truth sprang into action after he saw a story about a woman in Houston whose Christmas presents were stolen out of her trunk from a hotel.
She was staying at the hotel to tend to her son who just had a kidney transplant.
Thieves broke into the woman's car and stole a bunch of toys, which were for her grandkids.
Trae the Truth followed through on a promise to help the woman and surprised her with hundreds of dollars worth of toys for her grandchildren.
Meanwhile, Meek did the same thing in Philly.
The rap star hosted an event for his local community where he gave away $100,000 worth of toys, bikes, and electronics to over 3,000 people.
One child who left the event with a brand new Xbox was robbed by some bullies on his way home from the event.
When the child returned distraught, and Meek learned what had happened, the rap star made it right and cheerfully allowed the boy to get another Xbox, which made his Christmas.
