(AllHipHop News) The 2018 Mid-term election is just eight days away. One of the most-watched Senate races in the country is taking place in Texas.

U.S. Representative Robert "Beto" O’Rourke is challenging Incumbent Republican Senator Rafael "Ted" Cruz for the contested seat. O’Rourke just got a big co-sign from one of the state's most popular entertainers.

Houston rapper Travis Scott posted a photo of him with O’Rourke to his Instagram page. The 46-year-old politician also uploaded an image of Scott to his social media accounts.

"Big thanks to Houston's [Travis Scott] and [former Houston Texans player Arian Foster] for joining us to spread the word about voting," wrote Rep. O’Rourke.

The man affectionately known as Beto by his supporters recently got a public endorsement from NBA superstar LeBron James. In addition, Country music icon Willie Nelson performed in front of 55,000 people at a September rally for O’Rourke.

According to Real Clear Politics, Cruz is currently leading O’Rourke 51% to 44% in an average of recent polls. A Democrat has not held a statewide office in Texas since 1994.
