Travis Scott Links With Ksubi For New Denim Line

Travis Scott is getting into the fashion game, with his own new line of denim wear.

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Travis Scott is launching his first denim capsule collection with Ksubi.

The Goosebumps star has been a fan of the Australian brand for several years and the Ksubi x Travis Scott collaboration will feature denim and distressed jeans and T-shirts emblazoned with Scott's eagle motif.

"Distressed jeans are a sign you've been through some s##t, more so than a clean jean," he told Vogue magazine. "Like I'm down to get dirty."

"We really wanted to deconstruct s##t, so I deconstructed the pockets," he adds. "I just wanted to keep it Texas culture - just real simple. Ready-to-wear dope s##t."

Ksubi launched in 1999 and the line is popular among rap artists, including Vince Staples and Lil Uzi Vert.

"Certain brands cater to the culture," Travis says. "Sometimes clothes make it through generations of artists, and it's just because the designer is designing to the time and the culture. That's what I think is dope about brands (like Ksubi). It's dope when a brand can captivate what's going on with kids - it's not out of touch."

And Scott made sure his collection reflected the tone of the brand and was accessible to everyone.

"This is what I want to slide out in, wear every day, all day, when I'm chilling at the crib (house) when I just wanna take a shower after getting out of my pajamas, and put these on, go outside, and chill," he adds. "And it's fresh, too, (for a) party. I like to mix up levels. I didn't want to make nothing that was too out of reach (sic)."

The news of the collaboration comes weeks after it was revealed Scott, real name Jacques Webster, Jr., and his girlfriend Kylie Jenner are reportedly expecting their first child together. The couple has not commented on the news.
