Travis Scott Pledges To Giveaway $100,000 To Fans Of His 'AstroWorld' Album

One person received $800 to help pay for his mother's funeral.

(AllHipHop News) There are a lot of different ways to promote a new album. One method is for the artist to stir up controversy to get media attention. Another way is for the artist to focus on being interactive with his or her supporters.

Travis Scott chose the latter option. The chart-topper took fan engagement to another level when he announced on Twitter he was giving away six figures to his followers.

The AstroWorld creator tweeted:

SO I KNOW ITS HARD FOR THE KIDS SO I DECIDED TO UNLOAD MY BANK ACCOUNT ON U GUYS. IM BUSTING DOWN $100,000 AND GIVING AWAY TO ANY FANS THAT CAN TWEET ME THERE CASH TAG WITH LYRICS FROM ASTRO. GANG!!

Of course, Scott's fans quickly began responding to his offer. They even posted the receipts once they received the Cash App funds.

It's not clear how much more money will be given out by the "Stop Trying To Be God" performer, but he tweeted at 11 pm that he had $75,000 left. The hashtag #ASTROWORLD became the top trending topic on Twitter on Wednesday morning.
