(AllHipHop News) Nicki Minaj's week-long assault on the music industry over her Queen album debuting at #2 on the Billboard 200 did not help the LP hold onto the runner's up spot. In its second week of release, Queen dropped to #3 with 95,000 equivalent album units.
Travis Scott, one of the main targets of Nicki's rants, saw his album outsell the Young Money artist in back-to-back weeks. Astroworld fell one position to #2. The set collected 110,000 units in its third week of release.
Minaj used her Twitter account and Queen Radio show to blast Travis for allegedly gaming the sales system in order to top her on the chart a week ago. However, Billboard insists both Travis Scott and Nicki Minaj benefited from merchandise/album and concert ticket/album bundles.
Ariana Grande took over the #1 slot. The Pop singer's Sweetener earned 231,000 units in its opening week. The rest of the Top 10 includes Drake's Scorpion (#4), Post Malone’s beerbongs & bentleys (#5), Aretha Franklin’s 30 Greatest Hits (#6), Young Thug's Young Stoner Life: Slime Language (#8), Juice WRLD’s Goodbye & Good Riddance (#9), and Cardi B’s Invasion of Privacy (#10).
