(AllHipHop News) ComplexCon is returning to Long Beach, California on November 4 and 5. Swedish outdoor-lifestyle brand Tretorn is presenting charitable individuals the chance to attend the event and meet Grammy-winning wordsmith André "3000" Benjamin.
The grand prize package includes two tickets to ComplexCon, VIP passes to André’s panel, a meet and greet with André, one pair of signed Tretorn Capsule Collection sneakers, a one-of-a-kind cropped hoodie with André’s original artwork, airfare, and hotel accommodations.
In addition, the Nylite 50 Artist Series online sneaker auction will launch on October 30 with 100% of the proceeds benefiting Art Start and the Brooklyn United Music & Arts Program. The initiative commemorates 50 years of the Nylite sneaker and includes the work of André 3000 as well as other artists.
"The artist series has proven to be culturally relevant with artists and tastemakers participating from around the world,” said Natasha Fishman, EVP Marketing ABG, owner of the Tretorn brand. “We are thrilled to partner with eBay for Charity on this initiative and grateful for the opportunity to support young artists in need.”
Tretorn's eBay for Charity sweepstakes runs until October 9. Both the customized Nylite 50 Artist Series and the André 3000 exclusive Tretorn capsule collection will be unveiled at ComplexCon in November.
“It’s hard to translate an idea,” said André in a video about Nylite 50. “'Cool' can mean a lot of things, but if I draw you actually have something to go off, so sketching has really been a good communicator for me. A lot of what I’m bringing back is just childhood dreaming.”
