Ty Dolla Sign & J. Cole Team Up For Couple-Filled "Purple Emoji" Music Video

The self-described "$ex $ymbol" shows "real people" in love in his new visual presentation.

(AllHipHop News) A week after dropping the audio for "Purple Emoji" featuring J. Cole, California crooner Ty Dolla $ign let loose the song's official music video. The visuals open with the words "REAL PEOPLE. REAL DAY 1's" on the screen.

Throughout the Olivia Rose-directed MV, couples of different races, ages, and sexual orientations are seen embracing each other as TD$ belts out about needing his lover. Cole then shows up to spit his verse. "Purple Emoji" is expected to appear on Ty Dolla's upcoming studio LP.

"I'm just finishing up my album I’m almost done. I feel like I got all the songs, and now I’m just working on the deluxe version to add more songs a week later after I put out the album," said Ty in a recent interview. "It’s definitely my favorite album I’ve done yet. My most personal, really talking the talk, lot more serious songs but a couple of party songs, bangers, and stuff."

The Atlantic recording artist added, "To be honest, I’ve backed off from a lot of things. I know there’s a couple people mad at me, saying, 'Oh, don’t Hollywood me and take a month, just send the verse.' But I’m like, 'Listen, I’m working on my album. It’s a masterpiece and I gotta focus, so don’t trip. I’ll see you when I see you.'"
