Tyler, The Creator's 'IGOR' & DJ Khaled's 'Father Of Asahd' Spar For No. 1 Spot

One of the Hip Hop stars will likely land the coveted position.

(AllHipHop News) Will Tyler, The Creator finally get his first #1 album with IGOR? Or will DJ Khaled continue his streak of debuting in the pole position with Father Of Asahd?

Both Hip Hop artists are in a tight race to top next week's album chart. According to HDD, IGOR is on pace to collect 145,000 - 170,000 first-week units and Father Of Asahd is trailing close behind with a projected opening of 110,000 - 135,000 units.

IGOR has been a streaming juggernaut by having tracks occupy several Top 20 slots on the respective daily Spotify and Apple Music charts. Father Of Asahd hit the #1 spot on the iTunes chart, and Khaled released multiple videos from the LP on YouTube.

Previously, DJ Khaled led the Billboard 200 chart with 2016's Major Key and 2017's Grateful. Flower Boy is the highest charting album in Tyler, The Creator's career. The project peaked at #2 in 2017.
