(AllHipHop News) Usher is seeking a gag order in a lawsuit with a woman who claims he knowingly gave her a sexually transmitted disease.
Laura Helm alleged she contracted herpes during unprotected sex sessions with Usher in July 2017, but the singer previously denied her claims, and in November her lawyer requested the dismissal of a $20 million lawsuit without prejudice.
In April, Helm filed a new lawsuit in Georgia, citing negligence, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and fraud - charges Usher contested in June, when he filed a request to dismiss his accuser's latest complaint, arguing Helm assumed the risk by having "unprotected, casual consensual sex" with him.
His request was denied in September and he is now hoping to seal the evidence in the case.
Usher is arguing he does not want personal details to come out, because they could cause "harm, annoyance and/or embarrassment."
He also wants to prevent anyone from using the information for profit.
A judge has yet to rule on Usher's motion.
Meanwhile, the singer is also facing legal action from Quantasia Sharpton, who went public about her rumored night of passion with Usher during a press conference in August 2017.
Sharpton revealed she had not contracted herpes from the alleged encounter at a Days Inn hotel following a concert in Atlantic City, New Jersey in 2014, but she sued him for allegedly putting her at risk.
Usher has refuted her claims.
She filed suit in July 2017 demanding $20 million in punitive damages and another $20 million for emotional harm and medical bills.
The 39-year-old, who separated from his second wife Grace Miguel earlier this year, has also denied those allegations and previously asked a judge to dismiss the lawsuit.
