UMG, Usher, Steve Stoute & More Pump $6 Million Into Mass Appeal

MASS APPEAL LANDS A HUGE INVESTMENT!

(AllHipHop News) New York-based content brand Mass Appeal has announced a funding round financed by Universal Music Group.

Mass Appeal, whose early investors hip-hop star Nas and White Owl capital, have raised an extra $6 million.

The money was procured through additional investors, who now include Universal Music Group, which was the lead investor, as well as Usher, Steve Stoute, Charles King, Evolution Media and others.

According to Mass Appeal’s CEO Peter Bittenbender, the new deal with Universal Music Group will help the brand expand its footprint beyond the web.

“Universal’s reach and influence is unparalleled in music and beyond. To have a partner that owns some of the world’s most compelling IP is an amazing step for our business. Together, UMG and Mass Appeal will create iconic, globally impactful content, and we couldn’t be more excited to get to work,” said Bittenbender.

The cash infusion will help Mass Appeal launch a number of projects that will start hitting the air later this year.
