(AllHipHop News) It looks like Belcalis "Cardi B" Almánzar (Hustlers) is joining a billion-dollar action franchise. The “Bodak Yellow” hitmaker hinted that she was traveling to London in order to shoot a new movie, and now one of the stars of that film has confirmed Cardi’s next motion picture.
On Tuesday, actor Vin Diesel posted a video on Instagram from the United Kingdom featuring the rapper. Diesel stated they were on the set of the forthcoming ninth edition of Fast & Furious. Then Cardi declared, “I'm tired, but I can't wait. I ain't gonna front, I think this is going to be the best one.”
Fast & Furious 9 will follow 2017’s The Fate of the Furious which grossed more than $1.2 billion at the global box office. A spin-off titled Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw was released on August 2 in the United States. That 2019 movie has collected $758 million worldwide, so far.
Cardi B’s “La Modelo” collaborator, Ozuna (Qué León), is also reportedly part of the Fast 9 cast. Justin Lin (Fast & Furious 6) is directing the new installment with Dan Casey credited as the screenwriter. Fast & Furious 9 is expected to hit theaters on May 22, 2020.
