Vince Staples Curates Motown-Inspired Playlist For Apple Music

The 'FM!' emcee picks artists from the 1960s to the 2010s.

(AllHipHop News) June is Black Music Month. To celebrate the history of African-American musicians' contributions to American culture, Apple Music linked with Vince Staples for a special playlist.

The Def Jam recording artist curated a collection of tunes from the iconic Motown Records. Songs by legendary acts like Jackson 5, Marvin Gaye, and Boyz II Men join songs by modern-day acts like Migos, Lil Baby, and Gunna.

"Black music means everything to me because I’m black. Motown is the face and soul of Black music — light skin to dark skin, bougie to broke. This playlist covers every shade of Black in just a few tracks. Shoutout El DeBarge and shoutout the City Girls," states Staples.

The "Motown Represents: Vince Staples" playlist is available on Apple Music.
