Waka Flocka Wants His Fans To Know His Mother Started His Career, Not Gucci Mane (VIDEO)

THE ATLANTA-BASED RAPPER IS GIVING THE CREDIT TO HIS MOMMA

(AllHipHop News) Waka Flocka Flame first came to fame as a part of Gucci Mane’s 1017 Brick Squad, but the Atlanta-based rapper is now letting the world know, in his eyes, Gucci was not the real catalyst for his career.

After dropping the diss record “Was My Dawg” aimed at his onetime partner, Waka spoke with TMZ about his issues with Gucci.

“I’ll just say a little bit about Gucci. My fans deserve for me to elaborate on why I went so hard at a person that ‘started my career,'” said Waka. “To set the record straight, my mother started my career. My mother started Gucci’s career. My mother started Nicki’s [Minaj] career. [OJ Da] Juiceman’s career. French Montana’s career.”

Waka’s mom Deb Antney served as a manager for Gucci, Nicki, and others.

She was also CEO of So Icey/Mizay Entertainment.

Gucci filed a lawsuit against Antney in 2013, claiming she cheated him out of profits and used the money for her own personal gain.

The case was dropped the next year.
