The company is seeking to disrupt the legacy radio market.

(AllHipHop News) The people behind Dash Radio have reason to celebrate. The digital broadcaster founded in 2014 by Scott "DJ Skee" Keeney currently sports more than 10 million monthly listeners.

Plus, Keeney's enterprise announced the close of its seed round with $8.8 million in funding. The list of investors includes Nimble Ventures, Slow Ventures, Lazerow Ventures, Muzik, Arab Angel, G Ventures, Lindzon Capital Partners, Jason Flom, Orin Snyder, Ian Schaefer, and Michael Zeisser.

Warner Bros. Entertainment Chairman/CEO Kevin Tsujihara also contributed capital to Dash Radio. In addition, Tsujihara was named to the Board of Directors, along with Zeisser and Passport Capital founder John Burbank. Isaac Heyman (VP Of Industry Relations) and Clinton Sparks (VP of Business Development) were brought on to fill executive positions.
