(AllHipHop News) The Gorillaz had to cut short their show at Denmark's Roskilde Festival over the weekend, after rap collaborator Del The Funky Homosapien slipped and fell offstage.
The MC joined frontman Damon Albarn to perform his verse on the hit song "Clint Eastwood," but he seemingly misjudged the depth of the stage, and unknowingly stepped off the platform just moments into his appearance.
He landed on the ground, and Albarn quickly halted the track, before abruptly wrapping up and telling the crowd, “Thanks for a beautiful evening.”
Festival organizers have since addressed the incident online, revealing Del, real name Teren Delvon Jones, had been hospitalized, but was "conscious and talking to his team."
"We hope he recovers quickly and (we wish) him a speedy recovery," they added in a Facebook message, originally written in Danish.
On Sunday, Del took to Twitter to assure fans he was going to bounce back from the incident, although he did not detail his injuries.
"Thank you all for the love!" he wrote. "I’m doing alright but will be in the hospital for a bit, the care here is outstanding though. Much love to @gorillaz for having me out and I’ll be back soon yall."
