(AllHipHop News) The city of Los Angeles and the Hip Hop community came together to say goodbye to Ermias "Nipsey Hussle" Asghedom. A memorial service was held in the Staples Center on April 11.
The "Celebration of the Life & Legacy of Nipsey Hussle" streamed live on several platforms. NowThis News has uploaded footage of the entire public funeral to its YouTube channel.
Hussle's longtime girlfriend Lauren London and members of his family, along with fellow West Coast rappers Snoop Dogg and YG, eulogized the late community activist. Marsha Ambrosius, Anthony Hamilton, Jhené Aiko, and Stevie Wonder performed at the event.
In addition, Karen Civil read a personalized letter from Former President Barack Obama. Several video packages showing different stages of Hussle's life were also presented.
Ermias Asghedom was fatally shot on March 31 outside his Marathon Clothing store in South Los Angeles. He was 33 years old. The Grammy-nominated emcee is survived by 7-year-old daughter Emani and 2-year-old son Kross.
