Damson Idris returns as South Central drug dealer Franklin Saint, and Carter Hudson is back as CIA operative Teddy McDonald. Sergio Peris-Mencheta, Isaiah John, Angela Lewis, Amin Joseph, Alon Aboutboul, Michael Hyatt, Kevin Carroll, and Marcus Henderson make up the cast as well. Social media entertainer Melvin Gregg (American Vandal, High Flying Bird) joins the show for S3.
"You would say I would one day be the greatest. And I believed it, because you said it. I lost my big brother today," wrote Idris about Singleton on April 29. "The one person in this industry that gave me a shot. The person who is responsible for where I am today in my career & the direction I am going. He touched so many people & his soul purpose was lifting people up to be the best they could be. And I am going to make that my purpose. I am going to continue to respect and cherish your legacy big bro."
Gregg posted last month, "I was the new guy & he made me feel at home! There’s nothing more encouraging than hearing 'you’re killin it' from John Singleton. Aside from being iconic, John was [an] all around Solid Guy & that’s hard to find in this industry." The actor added, "He is Black History, He is American History. It was a pleasure my friend! Rest In Peace."
