WE TV To Air 'The Remarkable Rise Of So So Def' Documentary About Jermaine Dupri

The Atlanta legend's impact on Hip Hop and R&B will be highlighted in the one-hour special.

(AllHipHop News) So So Def Recordings founder Jermaine Dupri is one of the most prolific entertainment minds of the last 30 years. He helped launch the careers of Kris Kross, Bow Wow, Da Brat, and Xscape. The Songwriters Hall Of Famer also crafted classic records with Mariah Carey, Jay-Z, Usher, Ludacris, and others.

On July 18, WE tv will premiere Power, Influence and Hip-Hop: The Remarkable Rise of So So Def, a documentary that explores Dupri's career in the music business. The one-hour special will feature never-before-seen archival footage as well as original interviews with Mariah Carey, Usher, Snoop Dogg, will.i.am, Da Brat, Bow Wow, Nelly, and Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins of TLC.
