(AllHipHop News) The Queen of Gossip and the host of The Wendy Williams Show will be telling her life-story in a Lifetime movie. The network announced that Wendy Williams is set to executive produce her own biopic which is due out in 2020.
A press release from Lifetime reads:
The authorized project provides a revealing look at Wendy’s journey, from her scrappy upstart days in urban radio to the success of her own syndicated talk show. Despite all the naysayers and obstacles Wendy encountered throughout her life, her strength and determination have allowed her to thrive.
Will Packer Media is the production company behind Williams' biopic. Leigh Davenport is writing the script. The movie will be accompanied by an Entertainment One and Creature Films produced documentary on the New Jersey-raised television star.
Previously, Wendy Williams served as a producer for the biographical picture titled Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B. The film about the late "One In A Million" singer was widely panned by critics and viewers. Director Bradley Walsh's unauthorized Aaliyah movie spawned memes under the #LifetimeBiopics and #LifetimeBeLike hashtags.
In addition, Lifetime revealed Surviving R. Kelly: The Aftermath is being created*.* The program is the follow-up to the Emmy-nominated Surviving R. Kelly docuseries. Surviving Jeffrey Epstein will also be part of the cable channel's investigative doc lineup. Plus, a new two-hour movie will cover the College Admissions Scandal.
