(AllHipHop News) On the heels of the release of Pusha T’s new album Daytona, many were left speculating the reasoning for the explicit cover art on the album.
The photo seen on the album was taken from Whitney Houston’s home in Atlanta highlighting one of her debilitating drug binges.
Kanye West, founder of G.O.O.D. Music, forked up $85,000 to licence the picture for clearance.
Now, Whitney Houston’s family voice their opinion and “disgust” with Ye’s decision, claiming he should know better.
Speaking with The Blast, Damon Elliott, Whitney Houston’s cousin, stated, “Let Kanye know that I am disgusted by the fact that y’all think it’s ok to license a photo of my late cousin’s hotel bathroom to spark horrible memories from the most tragic event my family had to face.”
Pusha T also revealed to Angie Martinez that Kanye changed the cover art last minute, telling him “This is what people need to see to go along with this music.”
