(AllHipHop News) Warner Bros. Pictures' Suicide Squad was panned by professional critics. Despite the 28% rating on Rotten Tomatoes for the 2016 comic book movie, there have been reports that spin-off films for Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn and Jared Leto's The Joker are in the works.
Another star from Suicide Squad wants his own standalone motion picture too. Will Smith answered fan questions on a live stream after bungee jumping over The Grand Canyon for his 50th birthday, and the rapper-turned-actor expressed his interest in reprising his role as Floyd Lawton/Deadshot.
"I hope so. I love playing Deadshot. I really enjoyed that character," replied Smith. "They've been talking about it. So if a good idea comes around... We've been having meetings. But I would love to. I love Deadshot."
Besides the DC Extended Universe's Deadshot, Will Smith also played a superhero in Hancock. The Hollywood legend is currently attached to the upcoming projects Suicide Squad 2, Aladdin, Gemini Man, Spies in Disguise, Bright 2, and Bad Boys 3.
Suicide Squad was not a critical success, but the movie did make over $746 million at the global box office. The film also won an Oscar for Best Makeup and Hairstyling at the 89th Academy Awards.
