(AllHipHop News) A woman who claims R. Kelly infected her with herpes has hired the services of the powerful attorney, Gloria Allred.
Gloria Allred is representing a woman named Faith Rodgers, who claims the singer abused her "mentally, sexually and verbally" and now he is attempting to silence her.
During a press conference in New York today, Rodgers revealed she was meeting with the New York Police Department, in addition to pursuing a civil lawsuit against R. Kelly, for giving her an STD when she was 19.
The singer even sent the woman a legal letter threatening to make her sex life public, by bringing out 10 male witnesses who plan to testify about her sexual past.
If the cops take up the case in New York, R. Kelly will be the subject of three criminal investigations, since authorities and Georgia and Illinois are looking into abuse allegations surrounding the alleged "sex cult" the singer is overseeing.
R. Kelly has been under scrutiny since the airing of the Lifetime docu-series "Surviving R. Kelly."
