XXXTentacion’s Fans Riot During Los Angeles Memorial

Officers were forced to disperse the crowd with non-lethal rounds.

(AllHipHop News) Emotions are still high for followers of the late XXXTentacion. Some of his most loyal fans came together in Los Angeles for a public memorial.

Unfortunately, the gathering on Melrose Ave turned violent as participants began climbing on top of vehicles and jumping off of buildings. According to TMZ, police fired rubber and pepper bullets into the crowd after people began throwing rocks.

XXXTentacion (born Jahseh Onfroy) was fatally shot on Monday in Deerfield Beach, Florida. Investigators reportedly believe the murder happened following a random robbery.

The 20-year-old ? album creator had an alleged history of violent behavior. In 2016, XXX was charged with robbery and assault with a deadly weapon. He was also set to go on trial for aggravated battery of a pregnant victim and false imprisonment.

Supporters of XXXTentacion claim the troubled rapper became more positive during the last months of his life. For example, XXX teamed with Miami Children's Initiative to provide assistance to Liberty City youth.

His lawyer J. David Bogenschutz stated, “He had problems, like many young people do, and was getting through them and for the past eight months had been absolutely perfect."
