YBN Cordae Confirms Ty Dolla Sign & Pusha T As Features For His Upcoming Project

With a co-sign from Dr. Dre, the 21-year-old artist is looking to have a dope 2019.

(AllHipHop News) Every year, a few rising rappers break out as the top newcomers. There are several neophytes with the potential to crossover into stardom in 2019. YBN Cordae is one of those rhymers already on the short list for "Rookie Of The Year" in Hip Hop.

Cordae has been seen in the studio with the iconic Dr. Dre, and the North Carolina-born/Maryland-raised musician gave a taste of what's to come with the new music video for "Locationships." Zane Lowe spoke to Cordae about the track for Apple Music's Beats 1.

"I was in the studio with [producer] S1, and he made it. I just left from this trick's house I was at, and then I started it off, like, 'I got the spoiled LA girl, she from Chino Hills,'" explained YBN Cordae. "I would literally drive her dad's Bentley. You know what I'm saying? So, I just started going off that and just telling different stories."

The Young Boss N*ggas collective member is currently crafting a full-length project. Apparently, he has already linked with a California crooner and a Virginia wordsmith for guest appearances on the set.

"Just been working with a bunch of dope ass producers. I got some legendary features on there," Cordae revealed. "I got Ty Dolla Sign on there. I got Pusha T. That's just a little sprinkle."

He added, "Everybody I have on this project are really good friends of mine, all came about in a super organic, dope way. I feel like that's the best way to go about it. But yeah, it's some unexpected joints too."
