YNW Melly Addresses Reports He Was Arrested For Murdering Two Friends

The Kanye West collaborator posts about "rumors and lies."

(AllHipHop News) Broward County authorities claim YNW Melly killed two of his friends in October 2018, then the 19-year-old and another man tried to cover up the crime by making it look like the victims were murdered in a drive-by shooting. The rising Florida rapper (born Jamell Demons) addressed the news of his alleged involvement in the bloodshed on Instagram.

Melly wrote:

To all my fans and supporters no I did not get locked up in Washington, but I am turning myself in today I want you guys to know I love you and appreciate every single one of y’all, a couple months ago I lost my two brothers by violence and now the system want to find justice.. unfortunately a lot of rumors and lies are being said but no worries god is with me and my brother @ynw.bortlen and we want y’all to remember it’s a ynw Family I love you @ynwsakchaser1 and @ynwjuvy #freeus

Demons is facing two counts of first-degree murder for the deaths of Anthony Williams and Christopher Thomas Jr. Cortlen Henry, 20, was also reportedly arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder.

YNW Melly released an album titled We All Shine on January 18. The project includes a feature from G.O.O.D. Music founder Kanye West. The two rhymers appeared together on the track "Mixed Personalities."
