(AllHipHop News) It may seem that things could not get worse for rappers YNW Melly and YNW Bortlen - who is being held for a double murder - but they just did.
YNW Melly and YNW Bortlen both face two counts of first-degree murder for killing two friends. Now they are being accused of being involved in the murder of a cop.
Police in Indian Gifford, Florida believe YNW Melly and YNW Bortlen were part of a large group that had gathered on the street in October of 2017.
The two men allegedly began randomly firing their weapons.
An off-duty officer nearby named Deputy Gary Chambliss was struck in the gunfire and police believe one of the rappers are responsible for the officer's murder.
A spokesman for the cops said they are investigating whether or not Officer Chambliss' murder could have been the motive for the shocking double-murder YNW Melly and YNW Cortlen are currently being held for.
YNW Melly is accused of murdering his two of his friends in October 2018. Then the 19-year-old and YNW Bortlen tried to cover up the crime by making it look like the victims were murdered in a drive-by shooting.
The rising Florida rapper, born Jamell Demons, is facing two counts of first-degree murder for the deaths of Anthony Williams and Christopher Thomas Jr.
YNW Bortlen, born Cortlen Henry was also reportedly charged with two counts of first-degree murder.
