(AllHipHop News) Young Chris recently returned with the new project The Network 5. Track five is titled "Roc-A-Fella," and it features the Philadelphia rapper spitting about his connection to the legendary Hip Hop label.
Mikey T The Movie Star caught up with Chris to ask him about the song and his days with The Roc. The Young Gunz member discussed getting advice from former Def Jam Recordings president Lyor Cohen. Young Chris also spoke on Jay-Z taking over Def Jam.
"It was pretty cool, but the transition... a lot of things were rushed," said Chris. "With Jay still being an artist at the time... It was his first time stepping up for the president position."
YC added, "Everything kinda went left after that because right around that time is when the Roc-A-Fella split up happened." Chris also stated that the division between Jay and fellow Roc co-founder Dame Dash forced the roster to choose sides, but he's now on good terms with everyone associated with the record company.
