(AllHipHop News) Young Thug is a free man but he is going to have to figure out a way to remain sober.
The Atlanta rap star was thrown in jail last week, after he violated the conditions of his bail from a September 2017 arrest by failing a drug test.
Thug is facing eight felony counts from that stop, and now the conditions for him to remain free are even more strict.
The judge presiding over Thug's court-case has agreed to release the rapper after his failed drug test.
Now Young Thug will have to remain sober, since he has to submit to random drug testing at least twice a week.
He has also been ordered to undergo substance abuse counseling and check in with his probation officer.
Thug admitted to the judge he has been living in somewhat of an alternate reality.
“I’m sorry for disobeying the court," Young Thug said. "I’m sorry for disobeying my PO and being here again. I just want to go home with my family and do right.”
“Over the last six days, I understood this is real life,” Young Thug told the court. “I have two sons, ages 10 and 11. I don’t want them to think that going to jail – even if you can get out right away – is cool. I want to grow, and I have grown. I’ve made mistakes and I’ve been penalized for them. I’m sorry, and won’t disobey again.”
Apparently, Thugger has already starting correcting his behavior.
His lawyer said the rapper refused to eat or drink for the first two days of his incarceration, as a way of "punishing himself."
