(AllHipHop News) Kentrell "YoungBoy Never Broke Again" Gaulden is only 17 years old, but the rapper is already gaining a lot of attention. The Fader even selected YoungBoy to appear on the cover of its latest issue.
During the feature, the "Untouchable" performer was asked about signing to Atlantic Records.
“That was like a dream come true,” stated YoungBoy. “That ain’t like me signing to no rapper. And they gave me that f-ckin’ bag when I was 16.”
The Baton Rouge native has had several run-ins with the law, including aggravated assault charges. YoungBoy expressed his frustration with a judge's view of him and his lyrics.
"She tried to make it seem like my music's making people die. That's exactly what she said to me in court," he recalled. "I was trying to tell her like, I'm changed and I'm trying to do better. I'm trying to do the right f-ckin' thing. I just can't do stupid sh-t. But it's scary - you be scared to do anything."
YoungBoy added, "I got f-ckin’ children, I got a family that depend on me, I got a momma who don’t like to work, I got a baby momma that got three kids, two of ‘em from me. Everybody depend on me. I can’t f-ck up. I ain’t the only person that I’m hurting. If I was given a billion dollars to do life in jail, I’d do it and give that sh-t to my fam.”
