Yung Miami Talks New City Girls Album & JT Being Released From Prison

The southern duo is looking to take over another time of the year.

(AllHipHop News) City Girl Summer may be over, but the rap group the season is named after is still hot in the streets. The City Girls contributed songs for the recently released Quality Control: Control The Streets Volume 2 compilation.

Caresha "Yung Miami" Brownlee and fellow QC artist Lil Yachty joined Ebro Darden on Apple Music’s Beats 1 to talk about the project. The currently pregnant Yung Miami also discussed the follow-up to City Girls' 2018 album Girl Code.

"We're gonna save it for 2020 when JT comes home. When she comes home, we'll work on another album that we're gonna drop, hopefully for Spring Break," explained Yung Miami. "She gotta come home. We gotta record. So by Spring Break, we'll have a new album out."

According to Caresha, her musical partner will be out of prison by the end of September. Jatavia "JT" Johnson is serving a two-year sentence for credit card fraud. She turned herself into authorities in 2018.
