Clockchain right um so I Roxanne Shantae actually asked him I don't know if anybody ever asked him before but I definitely didn't know this story

I mean basically said that he was chilling in the projects right this was back in the day in the beginning of his career

He was down with public enemy though. He was down with them But anyway he was chilling the project some crackhead that he and his friends always see walk around selling stuff was trying to sell

Him some shower clocks right and I didn't know that like shower clocks was a thing or anything like that

I guess that's him back in the day 1980s type of shit right I'm gonna either way man

He said as a joke they bought one of the shower clocks from the woman And then his friend told him to take off his stopwatch

Which he had over around his neck and put the shower clock on around his neck

I'm so he did man with the shower clock right I'm in the whole situation is I guess a couple days later

Whatever the case may be flavor flave. He was actually gonna be performing with public enemy

They were opening up for the Beastie Boys So flavor flame just decided to get on stage with the shower clock they dared him to do it

And then when he did it man New York Times was there They took a bunch of photos and so the following morning on the front page of the New York Times

You see flavor flame there with the clock around his neck and that was the beginning of a beautiful hip-hop history, right

Um, so I just think it's fire like different like small things that happen within hip-hop to make big huge impacts

And I honestly didn't know the story so to hear it 50 years in the hip-hop is pretty dope
