Rapper Lil Uzi Vert, whose real name is Symere B. Woods, is accused of leading an unprovoked attack on a pedestrian in Manhattan last year, according to a recent lawsuit. The lawsuit, filed on August 1, 2025, by Vaughn Trotman, claims that on April 17, 2024, Woods and members of his entourage assaulted Trotman after he took a picture of Woods' vehicle on Broadway near 27th Street. Trotman says Woods ordered his security team to attack him, yelling a racial slur and telling them to "get that man in the blue." Trotman was wearing a blue jacket at the time. The lawsuit says Woods joined the assault, shouting insults while Trotman was punched, kicked and choked.
