0:05
What's up? It's your girl Yandandy and I'm rocking out with none other than All Hip Hop here with my guy Chuck.
0:14
What's going on world? It's your man Chuck Creekmer aka Jigsaw here at One World Studios and we got two
0:20
celebrities, actresses, advocates, all types of things going on. Carly Red and Yandy Smith Harris. Thank
0:28
you for coming. I know you wanted to do the intro. Do you want to do the intro? Come on, Kylie. This Oh, that was just
0:33
for off camera. No, we on camera. No, I said, "Was that just for off camera?" Yeah, you should try it. Come on, Kylie. Just try it. You have
0:39
your newscaster. Look, you got this. All right. And let me give you a clap and clap. Hi. We are here at the One World
0:46
Studios where we have Yanny Smith Havis and Chuck Creek. Chuck Creek and Carly Red.
0:53
Carly Red. Carly Red. That was good. That was good. That was good. At allhiphop.com. That was good. So,
0:59
listen. I'm gonna get right into the the stat. Wait, tell us the the statistics
1:06
that you were telling us and we're gonna jump right into it. One out of seven men
1:12
deal with domestic violence, Yandy. And one out of four women, one out of four
1:17
in their lifetime will deal with domestic violence. That's how we started before we, you know. So, this is all about domestic violence
1:24
awareness month. Yeah. Well, we have an award show that we're doing October 22nd at the Atlanta
1:30
City Hall. Um, in recognition of domestic violence month, we are wearing purple.
1:37
Um, that's the color for domestic, you know, pink is cancer. Purple is the
1:42
color for domestic violence. Okay. Awareness. So, tell tell us about the award show.
1:48
Yeah, sure. And the award show, like she said, October 22nd at 7 PM in Atlanta at
1:55
the city hall. We have Council Boom. We'll be giving out proclamations. We'll be giving out awards to domestic
2:00
violence survivors. We will be g honoring also organizations from around
2:06
the world because I feel like they don't get noticed enough for all the hard work that they do for domestic abusers. But I
2:13
know you said something early and I want to touch on that. You said that, you know, well,
2:19
Oh, there's a fly in here. Well, um, so sorry. Just to let you know, there's different
2:24
type of abusers. Okay. Okay. So, there's physical abuse, there's neglect,
2:30
there's psychology psychological psychological abuse, there's what else, Andy?
2:36
Physical. Physical. So, statistically speaking, what you just mentioned, one out of seven and one
2:43
out of four. Is that all things or is that just physical? That's all things. That's all things.
2:49
So, so what I was going to as a man as a man I'm going to say it's higher than that.
2:56
Wow. For men. Okay. Yeah. I think I believe most men do not
3:01
talk about it at all. Can I even go a step further? I think a lot of people in marginalized
3:06
communities don't talk about it. Um because we have we've learned, especially in our community, the black
3:12
community, and even the Hispanic community, we've learned that what happens in your house stays in your house. Yeah. That's just kind of how
3:18
we're brought up, right? Um and that goes with us into our adulthood because it's like, oh, what happens with my man,
3:24
what happens with my girl stays in my house. Yeah. And you we suffer in silence.
3:30
Absolutely. But I get I mean I get what he's saying that as a man is kind of looked upon. Is
3:38
that where you were leading? Well, I I think that there's a shame attached to it, right? And most men don't want to admit that they've been
3:45
abused at all. And certainly not physically, right? Because the assumption is that if you
3:52
get attacked, you handle that with more aggression. Um I think a lot of men accept that they
4:00
can get hit and maybe not be hurt as bad or
4:06
at all, maybe even. But I think that um most I know I know a lot of guys that
4:11
have been physically attacked. And I remember when I don't know if y'all remember this, Lionel Richie was was
4:17
pummeled by his wife. Um Wow. Well, one of his ex-wives, I should say,
4:22
long time ago. Oh, wow. And it it was really something they joked about. Wow. You know, they really they really
4:29
clowned him. And I was I even back then I was like, man, that's that's sad. Yeah.
4:34
Yeah. I get I get what you're saying that a lot I get what you're saying that a lot of men are ashamed to say it or
4:41
ashamed to talk about it because they get looked upon like oh you not a real man cuz you know you speaking about how
4:47
how could you be abused and no you I I don't look at it like that you know and
4:52
I feel like men shouldn't look at it like that they should like you know what I was abused because I didn't hit back
4:59
you know I I didn't I didn't want to hit her back you know and I took my abuse Yeah.
5:05
And then I think that not enough men step up when they see men doing bad things.
5:11
Yes. And that's sad. That makes me sad, too. Yeah. For sure. Because we for the most part, and I'm
5:17
I'mma keep it real with y'all. One thing I hate that men do is when a woman does hit them
5:22
and then the man hits the woman back, they're like, "Keep your hands to yourself." Now, we all know you should
5:28
keep your hands to yourself, but we also know that the response is typically
5:34
worse than what was given, if that makes any sense. Well, I think when you violate or you
5:39
assault someone, you can't predict what the response is going to be, right? It's like,
5:45
you stab me, I shoot you. You shouldn't have stabbed me. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? I think either way, it's wrong.
5:52
Um, and I think that men should have a voice in this space. I think that we absolutely need to
5:58
keep our hands to ourselves. Um, and I think even greater or equally as great,
6:03
I won't say greater, mental abuse is a real thing. And I I think that sometimes scars can
6:09
go away, but the effect of mental abuse can last a lifetime. Yeah. Because it it it transfers
6:16
generationally. And then if you do if you abuse in front of your children, that also, you know, you physically abuse in front of that transfers
6:22
generationally. But how you make me feel about myself that will last a lifetime. I can only imagine the statistics of
6:30
children that have seen their parents getting abused
6:35
and growing up seeing that. You know what I mean? And then repeating the cycle. And then repeating the cycle. Can you
6:41
imagine? Have y'all dealt with men putting hands on you or even uh mentally abusing you?
6:47
Well, um yes. So, my situation went viral and to be totally honest with you.
6:54
And when it did go viral, of course, I didn't speak about it and I still haven't really spoken about it.
7:01
And when it did go viral, so many people, men, women, children,
7:09
it was crazy like hit me up in the DMs and all my messages, everything. And I started opening my inbox like, you know
7:15
what? Let me start talking to people because I remember the state where I was lonely and couldn't talk and I was
7:21
ashamed to speak about it because I was like, "Oh, they gonna say I'm a victim or they gonna say this and you know,
7:26
just to hear the naysayers and I was just like, I don't even want to, you know." Yeah. So, once I started opening my inbox and
7:33
started talking to people and even children, I'm telling you, even kids, um, oh, my mom abused me, my dad, what
7:40
do I do? I'm a child. And, and I was just like, dang. So, I started talking to this one lady
7:48
and she was like, I'm telling I'm like, "Get away. Get in the hotel. I'll pay for it." You know, she's like, "No, I
7:53
don't need your money." I was like, "I'm trust me, get away." She has three kids and she would send me videos of the
7:58
kids. I'm talking deep into these people lives, right? And she would send me videos. Oh, look,
8:04
we in the hotel. Look, Carly. And I'll send her a video back like, "I'm so proud of you." And um so I didn't hear
8:11
from her for a little while and I was like, "Oh, okay. she's probably doing good, living her life, you know. Next
8:16
thing you know, the parents reached out to me and said, um, we're so happy that you spoken to our
8:22
daughter. This is so, you know, honorable of you. And I'm like, okay. They said our daughter passed by. Her
8:28
abuser passed by. Passed away. Oh, no. I didn't.
8:33
Her abuser killed her. Yeah. Her abuser killed her. And um which in that moment I reached out to
8:42
Yandandy and said, "Okay, I told her like you know I'm in a dark
8:48
place and I feel like me talking to these people have been my healing.
8:54
Me well that happened to me girl and and I understand and and you know me talking
9:01
to these people is definitely my healing. So I want to do something And
9:07
next thing you know, boom, we have the Courageous Awards. That's awesome. I'm glad to hear that because you you never really know what
9:14
a person's going through, right? What a person's going through, but also how you can impact their lives positively. Now, obviously, that story
9:21
didn't end well. But in a in other instances, you can plant the seed even
9:26
even being a living testimony. Sure. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So many people, you
9:31
know, you'll be shocked, you know, just this is not about loving hip hop Atlanta, but just speaking about loving
9:37
hip hop Atlanta. So many people, I'm sure, come up to you, Yandandy. Oh, I saw that, you know, when you was doing
9:44
this or I saw whatever, whatever. I mean, I've had people crying me in the streets like, "Oh my god, you have no
9:50
idea." When I looked at you and I saw your face and I went through the same thing cuz they can relate,
9:56
you know, to what you're going through, you know, and so they think they know us.
10:03
They think they they really think they know us. They they really think they know us, but so when I'm talking to all these
10:10
people in my inbox, they're like they're talking to me like I'm their best friend, right? Yeah. Well, they get to know you
10:16
in their way. In their way. In their way. So, they're talking to me like I'm their best friend. I'm just like, "Yeah, girl." Yeah. So, don't worry. I trust me, I
10:24
know. And D. But, um, that's how we got here with the Courageous Awards. And
10:31
it's one thing I wanted to do was empower
10:36
someone else. Show them that there's resources. You know, I can't save the world, you know.
10:43
I'm just Carly, you know. Um, show them so modest. I'm just Carly,
10:49
you know. I'm just Carly. I can't say the word I can't help you that much now, you know. Um, I want to show them that
10:55
there's resources, that there's help out there, that there's other people to talk to who
11:01
who are, you know, prepared for this, who are, you know, they they went to school for this, who knows how to handle
11:07
these type of situations. And it's resources that, you know, you can get away. Like the lady, she, you know, she
11:12
took her kids to the hotel. You know, there's resources and we want to bring people, the reason
11:18
why we're here doing all this is to raise awareness and bring people from all over the world
11:24
and make this a big thing from all over the world. Like, okay, look, you in Chicago, I'm here, too. Let's let's talk
11:30
to each other. Let's help each other. Let's connect. You in DC, you in New York, let's connect. Okay, let me take your
11:37
number. Let's connect. So, I have a hard question for y'all. I kind of tapped out of reality TV long
11:44
time a long time ago because I felt like it was giving a negative maybe I would
11:50
say a toxic portrayal of relationships and things like that and I just wasn't vibrating on that
11:57
level. Um do you guys feel that in any way the pop culture or the reality show
12:02
culture um does it help or hurt
12:07
the cause? Does it help or hurt the cause? It depends on what show you're looking at.
12:13
Yeah. Right. What would you say? It depends on what show you're looking at. Sometimes, like, like I said to you before,
12:20
um, you know, there's certain parts of our show, I can only speak for our show, but there's certain parts of our show
12:26
where, you know, we have moments where, you know, Yandandy will be vulnerable and tell her her truth and tell her
12:32
story and say, "Listen, I'm going through something." and she may be relatable to the person on the
12:39
other side of the television. They're like, "Dang, I'm going through the same thing. Maybe I should go that route or
12:44
maybe I shouldn't go that route. I'm not going to do what she did." Yeah. You know, I'm not gonna do what Carly
12:50
did. You know what I mean? I'm not gonna crash out. You know what I mean? Well, I was on a reality show actually
12:56
with Kimosario. It was a short I remember Gossip Girl. I remember it.
13:02
One season, one and done. One and done. But All I remember it was wild. That's crazy. It was about the behind
13:09
the scenes and like journalism, PR, um, news people that cover entertainment
13:16
for the most part. But to answer your question, um, I feel like it's a gift and a curse, right? I don't think as
13:22
people we're a monolith where we are the same. I feel like there's so much about who we are that make us who we are.
13:29
And we don't go out to our workplaces and talk about it when we have, you know, issues at home with our husbands
13:34
or our girlfriends. We don't shout it out at church. We might meaning in the show. Workplace meaning your career, your your
13:40
corporate jobs, your if you work, if you're a bus driver, if you work at the hospital, you don't talk about your
13:46
relationship because that's not the place for it, right? Our job is to follow what we're going through.
13:52
That is our job. that is our career to let you guys in on what we're doing. Every single person that has ever been
13:58
in a relationship in the history of relationships have had tough times. They have had challenges. Our show is love
14:03
and hip-hop. So, they're going to show you a lot of the hip-hop and they're going to show you a lot of the love. Right. Unfortunately, a lot of times in this
14:10
space, we are navigating relationships where it is our first time being this age with this many children dealing with
14:16
this particular man. Yeah. Or this particular woman. Yeah. And these shows are for entertainment.
14:21
If every day you saw us kicked up watching our favorite TV show, they'd be like, "All right, can we see something else?"
14:27
Right. Right. You you guys have watched this show every night, five nights of it, we were tired of it. So, they want to show different aspects
14:34
of the relationship and sometimes those aspects are the challenging times. Yeah. Those are the times that get posted on
14:40
the shade room. Those are the times that end up on All Hip Hop or Hollywood Unlock or some of the other blogs
14:46
because those are the times that people grab. Listen, pain is profitable. Unfortunately, people buy into people's
14:52
pain because it makes their train wreck not look so bad. You know, are our lives train wrecks?
14:58
To some, maybe, but to most, probably not, right? I think I'm blessed and highly favored.
15:04
However, when I go through something with my husband or I go through something with another woman or whomever else, it is magnified because that is
15:10
the career that I have. When a doctor saves someone who has been suffering from cancer and they ring that bell,
15:17
that is magnified because that's what the doctor did that day. It's great, right? If I do something on the show,
15:23
they covered me going down with Briana Taylor. You know, Carly is hosting and
15:28
really the founder of the Courageous Awards. That for that moment is going to be great. Now, will all the blogs pick it up?
15:35
We don't know. Yeah, we don't know. That's fair. Many of the blogs did not pick up when I went, you know, to
15:40
Kentucky to fight for Briana Taylor and her family. They didn't capture me protesting, right? But now, let me and Miss Dy have an
15:46
argument. Yeah. Let us let us sit across from each other in the table and just stare at each other and say, "I don't know if I could do this no more." That's everywhere,
15:52
right? You know, so it all depends on, you know, what the people want to see, where
15:58
the clickbait is, and that is what people follow. So, does it hurt relationships? When I I would say yes in
16:04
the fact that sometimes you have to face public opinion that is just too great and the noise is very loud and it's like
16:11
you got 50,000 people saying this about you. It's a lot to hear and it's a lot to deal with. Yeah. But then in other essence it could
16:17
strengthen the relationship where it's just like it's me and you babe. It's me and you against the world. We gonna fight this.
16:23
Yeah. Well, I realized from that show that we were on I was like okay for me.
16:29
Nah, cuz people started acting and I was like, "Where's the camera? Cuz I don't I
16:34
don't see any cameras. Why you acting like that? I've known you for 10 years." And it was really weird. And I lost a
16:41
couple friends off of that. Really? Oh, for sure. You know, you've lost friends on this show.
16:46
She was like, "Really? Stop it." Like to act like they still her friend
16:52
deep down inside. She be like, "Cuz I just I'm I mean, that's just my personality. No, that's just not
16:58
Yandandy though. No, she she done she done with you. She done with you. I'm just Wait a minute. What's your sign?
17:03
Pisces. Pisces. Okay. I'm Aquarius. What? I don't believe in signs. Why not? Well, where were you born? Pisces don't either cuz I don't even
17:09
know what I've seen Pisces that act like me. I've seen Pisces that don't act like me. I've seen Pisces that act like me. I've seen Pisces that don't. So, I don't
17:15
really I think something's to it. Okay. So, tell me about Pisces. Well, see, that's what I don't do. I
17:22
don't study all of them. I just study some of them. So like, so I stud like so my enemies I study
17:29
them because I'll be like, "Oh, shoot. You that one. I can't say that one cuz then they going to know
17:36
who I'm talking about." But a lot of the people I don't like are sign.
17:42
Yes. But I like Pisces. Erica Badu is one. Yeah. Right on the cusp of Aquarius.
17:47
I'm right on the cusp of Aries. Aries. Okay. Aries and Pisces. And then there's like
17:53
then there's like Gemini who I I have an affinity for. I like Geminis. Oh,
17:59
they crazy. But they they crazy. So I would I would never date one.
18:04
Been there, done that. So anyway, not to get off track. So So what else? So
18:10
Carly, you're doing music now. You I thought you were rapping, but you singing. Which one are you doing?
18:17
Well, no, my genre is Caribbean. Caribbean. Well, you were just in the elevator singing. Singing.
18:23
Oh, no. You were singing. Singing. You got And you got a mic in front of you right now. You were signing.
18:28
You were singing. Yeah. I never knew. Yes, you were. I was not, Carly. You were at the top of
18:34
your top of your lungs. Singing now. Really, guys? Give us a little piece. Thank you. No,
18:42
we gonna get the B-roll. Exactly. It was a secret hidden camera in the elevator. Oh, wow. Thank you. So what why why
18:51
Caribbean? What made you are you Caribbean? Yes. Yes. Yes. I was raised in Trinidad. My family my family whole family is from
18:58
Trinidad and Jamaica and Bahamas and yeah Caribbean. Very very Caribbean. So
19:03
my genre is Caribbean and R&B and you know a little hip-hop here and there. But once I tapped into my roots and
19:10
tapped into my real where I started from that's when I was like okay I feel so much comfortable. I feel I feel I feel
19:18
where I belong, you know. And that's when you started charting. She started started charting.
19:24
It's a weird world for music right now. Um everybody has their own personal algorithm. The labels aren't what they
19:31
used to be. Yeah. How do you feel you're, you know, you're going to fare? Or are
19:37
you fairing? Is the TV helping? Is it, you know? Well, um, cheat code.
19:42
No, no, no. For for me it I really love what I do. Okay. So I I pay for my own music because I
19:49
love it. Yeah. I pay for my own music video because I love it. Yeah. I you know it's not anything that
19:57
okay well she doing this for whatever whatever it is. I'm doing it because I love it.
20:02
I really do it because I'm passionate about it. I'm passionate about my acting. I really do it because I'm
20:07
really passionate about it. So, I'm passionate about music and I really do it because I'm passionate about it and I
20:13
really love doing it. Yeah. Okay. What else you got going on, Yandy? You you wear so many hats and we have so
20:20
many mutuals and they they be telling me what you doing. So, a couple things. My skincare line um
20:27
is really moving and holding it down. So, we have a store in Atlanta. We are
20:32
also in Bloomingdales. This is we're going into our second year in Bloomingdales now. Yes. Um, we're getting into more Bloom and
20:38
Dale stores, which I'm very excited about. Um, I have a restaurant in Atlanta. This is the second one I opened
20:44
up in Atlanta. It's called Cliche. And on November 15th, I'm opening up a third restaurant in Miami.
20:50
Um, so I'm super excited about that. Um, I've I'm mommying. That is what takes up
20:55
most of my time. Mommying um is the my kids are now entering into their teenage years. We
21:01
have a big one that's a teenager, but the other little ones is entering their teenage years and they are driving me
21:06
insane. How come? Why? How? What do you mean? It's mainly So, we got 13-year-old and 14y old, but that
21:12
10-year-old little girl. Mhm. Baby, she giving me a run for my money. Okay. She's giving me a run for my money.
21:18
Yeah. And I'm in the same space as Yandy. I been in a restaurant game for
21:24
past five years now. My first restaurant, Johnny's Chicken and Waffles. Neo's my partner in that one.
21:29
Neo. Okay. Shout out to him. Yeah, shout out to Neo. He's my partner in that location. We have four
21:34
restaurants. What? Yeah, we have four restaurants. We have one inside the airport. We have our first one was in College Park. That's
21:40
the first one I created and then brought Neil along. Okay. And um then we just started Dallas. We
21:47
got one in Dallas. You know, we just started. Then this new location, Red Room,
21:52
that's downtown Atlanta. And I decided, you know what? I'm going just do this one by one. No partners.
21:58
Okay. No partners. So, I got to ask y'all, what's y'all secret to entrepreneurial success? Because when
22:05
you start talking about kids and business and TV, all of these things in
22:11
your orbit, it sounds exhausting. It sounds not only that, managing it seems
22:18
almost feels like it seems almost like impossible. What's your secret? It's so crazy because
22:24
Tell the young people. For me, it's it's if I'm not That's just me, okay? If I'm not doing something,
22:31
moving around, being busy, d I can't do I drive myself crazy. Like, what what am I doing? I didn't wake up
22:38
early and wake up at 6:00 a.m. Wait, something's wrong. You know, I I feel off, but that's just me. I motivate
22:44
myself. I I go hard for myself. And that's been a long time. I've been doing
22:51
that for a long time. And to give advice to people out there, motivate yourself,
22:58
right? Number one. Number two, what works for me is I do three things
23:03
every day towards my biggest goal. So whatever my biggest goal is, so say I
23:08
want to open up a restaurant or say I want to become a chef. Like my newest goal right now is I am taking law
23:14
classes. I when I read that I was like, okay, now we going too far.
23:20
Why? Cuz how you my dream. Wait, wait, wait, wait. What? No, no. Blessed. It's all blessed. But
23:27
how? Cuz look, I've been floating going back to school myself. And I'm like, "Oh, how do you better do it?
23:33
I want to." But you understand how many how many certificates and degrees I have. Like literally, I went, what was it? How many
23:40
years ago? Three years ago, I went back and I'm a sex therapist. Okay. I got No, for real. I and that was only
23:48
because that's only because one day. What made you become a sex therapist?
23:53
There was an actual school you went to or was it on like online classes? Oh, no. Everything is online now. Ever since co girl, you online classes.
24:00
Oh, co. Okay. You said I didn't know if you went into the university of I don't know.
24:06
Everybody knows once co happened you don't go into school no more. It is all
24:11
online. So you virtual now? Yeah, I'm virtual. Okay. So now you
24:17
still virtual. Yes, you can. And that's part Chico. Yeah, that's part Chico. But um so this
24:24
one with with the in the beginning, but after this after I guess a certain amount of time, I got to go in two times
24:30
a week, three times. Yeah. Yeah. All that stuff. But right now, yeah, I can do it online. You're not going to use AI, are you? You
24:36
going to be using AI, ain't you? No. You only got to know what the freak I'm doing. [ __ ] Okay.
24:43
But back to the sex therapy thing. So what happened with that was I got a
24:49
endorsement deal from Doc Johnson. Okay. And they were like, "We want to give you your own sex toy line." And I was like,
24:55
"All right, cool." They was like, "We're going to take you on tour with us and everything." I was like, "Who? I'm not turning down no money. Would you?"
25:01
Nope. Okay. I was like, "Though, no, you ain't turning down this type of money." A sex toy. sex toy line
25:08
like okay you can have it would say if they only gave you how much money
25:13
it was like look it up it's on TMZ everywhere it was it was a large amount I have to think about it I be thinking
25:19
about my mom all the time like no but this is how do I promote this right no because it it's not Imagine picking
25:27
any toy they said pick a toy pick whatever toy you want and that's yours and that's what you promote
25:32
so I had to pick a certain amount of toys and that's what I promoted Okay. So, it could be anything.
25:38
But women are open with it. They be like, "Yeah, I got the rabbit and I got the freezy." Harley is open with it. I don't know
25:44
that I would sit and talk about the sex toy. No, because first of all, there's
25:50
many types of sex toys. All right. Just like you guys got to open your mind. So, just like you opened up,
25:55
can you give us Can you give us a a premiere of a commercial that you would do for your sex toy? But wait, let me tell you. Finish tell
26:00
you. See you on Let me tell you how I got here. See a commercial. Let me tell you how I got here. How was you promoted?
26:06
So, so he said, you know, we're going to take you on tour and you're going to make x amount of dollars just going to
26:11
different conventions about talking about your sex toys, Doc Johnson. Talking about Doc Johnson,
26:17
talking about sex or whatever. And I was like, okay. So, the first one was in Brooklyn, actually.
26:22
And I was like, okay. So, I'm sitting there and I'm like, I did not know. People are asking questions. I don't
26:28
know what the freak I'm talking about. How does this work? How does that work? D what you know what does it do to
26:33
stimulate the man and d I was just like stuck on track. I said oh [ __ ] I was
26:39
like oh hell no. So you know what you do? You dance. Right.
26:45
You got up in the middle of convention and you was dancing.
26:51
That is not what you did. Yes I did. This is a real story. So what you know
26:57
what you do when you dance, right? So, I was just like, and everybody like, "Okay, we're going to start dancing, right?" I was like, "Pull up the music."
27:03
Hey, hey. So, after I left there, I spoke to the CEO and I said,
27:09
"I'm so embarrassed. I I did not know. I kept I had a real
27:14
moment with him. I said, "I'm so embarrassed. I did not know what the freak I'm talking about. I don't know about, you know, the stimulation of a
27:21
man. Where's this and where's that?" You know, all these parts and body parts and everything. So he's
27:27
like, "Um, you know, you can go back to school and I'll send you to school."
27:33
I was like, "For real?" Yeah. He was like, "Yeah, you go back to school and and get your sexology and
27:39
just take an exam with the American Board of Sexy and D. I'm doing it
27:44
official." And so I went Yeah. And after that, I got my certificate, everything, and
27:50
people started booking me. Okay. So now I literally would do bachelorette parties. Um this one lady,
27:58
she books me every year for a convention and I literally go up there and I speak at her convention. Um I do bachelor be
28:05
parties, I do conventions, I do everything. And now Doc Johnson just calls me anytime they need me.
28:11
Wow. Think about it now. So that is a good point to the people out there. Don't you know especially our
28:18
people you know learning is key. Hell yeah.
28:23
Learning is key. Research is key. She taught me that this one research is key.
28:29
You know um is is very important and very vital. So the reason why I went to
28:35
law school is because of situation. Same thing divorce. I'm looking at these papers. I'm getting
28:41
sent a judge sending me this and this and that and I'm like oh hell no. Not to mention how much you got to pay the
28:47
attorneys. Expensive. If I told you how much my attorney charged me per month, you would be like, "What the freak?"
28:53
Yeah, I have I have an idea. It's a lot. Mr. Kesler ain't no jump. He charged me
29:01
a lot. But um after doing that and I didn't know and I'm up late at night getting research and googling what does
29:08
this term mean? What does that word mean? And whatever, I said, man, [ __ ] this [ __ ] I'm going to law school. And
29:14
that's how that started. Okay. When do you graduate? Oh lord.
29:20
It's right now I'm on the journey where it's like at your own pace. Okay. Yeah. But they giving me
29:26
want to graduate. I want to graduate in like four years. Okay. In my world, but I know it's going to
29:31
take six. Really? Okay. Not too bad. I know it's going to take You'll be there in no time. I hope so. Thank you for that.
29:37
You going to be You going to be You going have to take Oh, shoot. Imagine. you have a judge.
29:43
I could totally imagine it. Even even without a law degree, I could totally imagine it. No, because a lot of judges are not all
29:48
the way judges. They're lawyers. Yeah. They can speak to the law. So, they don't have to be a judge to be on TV.
29:55
Got to have, you know, a law, you know, understanding of the law. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Absolutely.
30:00
We going to manifest it. Yep. Thank you. Oh, there it is.
30:06
You go, girl. So, um, somebody Oh gosh. I don't know what to ask y'all. What could be bad or
30:12
not good? But somebody wanted me to mention some names. Are y'all okay with that or no?
30:18
Um, what names? I don't know. What do you mean by name? Well, somebody mentioned Jim Jones. Are
30:25
Are y'all Are you okay with Jim or Oh, I haven't spoken to Jim in years. I used to manage Jim, which I'm sure you
30:30
know. We've done a lot of stuff with All Hip Hop. I haven't spoken to Jim in probably a decade. Okay. So, there's nothing there at all.
30:37
What do y'all think about podcasting rappers? Rappers podcast like do y'all feel like
30:43
What do you mean podcasting rappers? They're turning into podcasters and not
30:48
Well, some of them are rapping and podcasting. Listen, I think how you get money is how you get money. I think that
30:54
you should evolve, you know, and you need to find I'm not just a music manager, you know. I became a reality TV
31:01
personality. I became a restaurant. I became, you know, in the beauty business. So if there are ways to spread
31:08
your wings and fly and generate income by any by other means why not do it? Yeah, I don't have Yeah, I don't have
31:15
any issue with people spreading their wings and getting money. Like why judge? Like
31:20
Well, I think I'mma start rapping cuz I'm I'm tired of them coming in
31:26
and but people say that a lot of time too about us like when reality um TV stars go into acting, they kind of feel
31:32
like y'all got your lane. Let us have this lane. Right. But what they don't understand is reality. There's a there's a portion of
31:38
reality TV that's also acting. I'm not I would never be in a situation where I'm sitting across from a woman
31:44
that I don't care for. I got businesses. I got kids. I got to make I got things I got to do. I don't got to sit next to you, but I got to for
31:52
I might have to sit down and act like I want to have this conversation with you because we really need to talk knowing there's a check involved and they said
31:58
on this day at this time you need to talk to this person, you know. So that in itself is acting.
32:04
Well, not well for me it's more I've been I've been acting since I was a kid.
32:09
Okay. Um I went to Harlem School of the Arts. I went to dance theater Harlem. Okay.
32:15
I you know I really went to those schools. You do this? Yeah. I do this in my life. I mean I've
32:20
my mom put me in courses since I was a kid. I was doing movies and all of that since I was a kid. So I I
32:27
take acting very seriously. I do this in real life. Okay. So when people like pe people that know me know me, they're
32:33
like, I didn't they don't even know that you really really been doing acting. You've
32:40
been taking courses all my life all my life. And still to this day,
32:45
you know, I freshen up. Yeah. Take my courses. Okay. Can you cry on Q? You ready?
32:51
Yeah. Oh my goodness. I was just like I used to be able to Well, I would think about my dad and I
32:57
could do it, but now me too. When I had to, I would think about my dad. Same thing. My babies are
33:02
like hitting me up for different things. They want to go to football games. This one's getting their hair braided. Sorry. No, you're good. But yes, I used to think about um a
33:09
certain situation when my dad had to go to rehab. Um when I used to take acting classes and we'd have a scene that's a
33:14
tough scene, I would put my mind in the headsp space of when that happened to me and what I felt like.
33:20
Um yeah. So, same thing. So, dad was it for you? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
33:26
Why dad? Because that was a hard situation. I was a daddy's I'm still a daddy's girl. My daddy lives in a house that I pay for
33:32
cash that is nine minutes from me. I'm still a daddy's girl. But when my dad had to go away to rehab,
33:37
I just felt like that's my daddy. Yeah. Uh my daddy's leaving me. No, it was
33:42
horrible. It was horrible for me. Then when I had my graduation, my high school graduation, my college
33:47
graduation, he missed both of those because he had to go do another stint in rehab. It was horrible for me.
33:53
What about you? Well, my dad passed away, so that's I'm sorry about that. Yes. Sorry to have about that. Thank you. He was a good man. All right. So, I
34:00
got one more question. At least you had it then. Yeah. Well, he was a good man. So, I I I
34:06
you know, what can you say? He was a huge loss for the family. Yeah. So, um so this is something we ask most
34:14
people um when they come on the platform. Uh top five dead or alive rappers. Now, by the way, we started
34:21
that way be nobody was doing that. Yeah. We started it and that was kind of
34:26
common. Yeah, but I think we're going to do something with all the the years of asking people, so you might
34:32
be included in that. So, do y'all have a top five? You know what's funny? I am in the movie
34:37
Top Five. Really? That is me in that movie. Get out. Chris Rock. Top Five. I got to look. I
34:42
That is me in that movie. You see that, Wanda? That is me in that movie. Is it not?
34:48
Wow. Me in that movie. Okay. I gotta go back. Okay. Okay. is a classic and it's it's
34:56
about the top five rappers and I'm in that movie. Get the hell out of here.
35:03
Okay. It's Chris Rock's movie and [ __ ] Everybody was in that movie. So, who's your top five? Cuz y'all live in Atlanta. You're from here though,
35:09
right? I am. Yeah. You're from here. So, my top five is Heavy New York. So, I got to go with Nas.
35:15
Oh, wait a minute. Is that a top five? Let's pause. Let's I got to go. I got to start with Nas. Is it a top one?
35:20
What a cause. Cuz Nas is killing it right now. Nas is killing it right now.
35:25
But he's always been killing it. Always been killing it. Always been killing it. Am I missing something? Nas.
35:31
Yeah, you missing a lot. Yeah. Right now he is a master investor.
35:36
Some of your favorite things you get into ride on do the he owns it. And you mean as far as investment? Yes, I did. I
35:44
did hear that. Casinos, this Uber technology.
35:49
Yeah, I did hear that for sure. And then he's still killing it on the mic. Yep. Yeah. So, shout out to Nas.
35:54
Shout out to Nas for sure. I love Nas, too. Yep. Yep. Yep. Yep. Gotta go with
35:59
Biggie. Gotta go with Biggie. Okay. I know it was shortlived, but it was impactful. Yeah. It was an impactful short-lived moment.
36:06
One of my favorite female MC's forever in a day. Missy Elliot. She's so She's a genius.
36:13
She's a genius. and to be able to work so up closely with her. I've never seen
36:19
such amazing work like like I mean just amazing from her creativity with the
36:25
things that she think of. She comes up with these ideas in her head. I remember her talking to her video director. This is really Missy. This is not someone
36:30
saying I want to do this. She's like I want people to fly off my tongue and jump in the crowd and then start
36:36
stepping and do like these are things that she comes up with off the top of her head. She doesn't smoke or get high
36:42
or anything in any way. This is her real mind. That's a good Yeah, that's a good
36:47
one. Yeah. So, okay. So, we got Nas, we got Biggie, we got Missy.
36:52
That's a good one. Um Jay Jay, of course, but we need Jay to come back.
36:57
I want Jay to come back. But Jay is like, you know, I'm just I'm I'm sitting back. I'm corporate now. I'm doing my corporate thing. He gonna
37:03
give us another one. You know, he's he's gonna give us another one. He's going to go ahead.
37:09
I need him to to to quiet a few mouths. I need him to hush a few people up. I think so, too. I I It's a lot of talk
37:16
about talking crazy about Jay right now. It's a lot of talk. It's a lot of talk.
37:22
I think he's getting motivated. He Well, you know, Jay does not come back unless it's kind of like a dropping a a bomb in
37:28
the middle. You know what I mean? He just put he'll put a date up, right? You'll be like, "What? Wait, but what's that?" Right.
37:34
What's that? And it just is is that that's the date. And everybody is waiting and anticipating. How long has it been? It's
37:41
been a long time since 444 2017. Wow. Yeah. 27 almost 10. We're going towards
37:48
10 years. Wow. So, he's not gonna wait 10 years. Oh my gosh. I thought it was going to be
37:54
Super Bowl, but we we'll see. We'll see. Yeah. All right. So, your last one.
38:00
My last one. I want to give it to a female. Um,
38:12
and it's a tossup for me. I have to say I'll give you two. It's a toss up for me. Um, and I'm going
38:19
newer generation cuz I could go old school, too, with it. But I'mma give you newer.
38:24
Okay. And I'm I'm going to say these two are killing it. And I know that um Dang. But that's
38:30
hard. I got Okay. I got four and I'm just gonna say it and y'all just gonna let me have these last four. Okay.
38:36
I'mma go with Foxy, Kim, Nikki, Cardi. I'm grouping them all together.
38:41
Okay, that's what I'm doing. My mom, my Mount Rushmore. I receive that. Yeah, that's fair.
38:46
I think they're doing amazing things. I think they have been able to um really shift culture.
38:52
I think they have been able to move masses, wage war in a huge way. And I
38:58
think hip-hop has always been about much more than music. It's been a lifestyle. It's been a culture. It's been the way you can
39:04
galvanize people. And if I take all things into consideration as well as lyrics,
39:10
Kim had a movement behind her. You know, she was the one that introduced us to purple wigs, yellow wigs, red wigs, fur
39:16
coats, and all the things and and the fabulous life. You know, Foxy made us feel sexy and and beautiful.
39:24
Nikki got an army, right? And she made us feel playful and whimsical and like Barbie. And now Cardi is just she's just
39:30
raw. She says what's on her mind. She keeps it real. She's vulnerable. She shows us her life and she spits.
39:37
Yeah, definitely. And she spits, you know. And I think now she's breaking into a new era of fashion where the
39:43
fashion icons are recognizing her, which I think is huge. You know,
39:48
I'm mad that I had to only say five because you only asked me for five, but I could not pick one over the other of
39:53
those four. No, that's that's that's love. And I can I can give you that. Okay. Thank you. Thank you for
39:59
respecting me. Look, your turn. Uh, but okay. Let me ask you this. Can Caribbean people join this?
40:06
Go ahead. Go ahead. You say rappers. You could do you. Go ahead. I'm I'm I'm here for it.
40:12
Okay. Vibes Cartel. Okay. But okay. He's not my number one. Biggie
40:17
would be my number one. Biggie is your number one. Okay. Biggie is not number one. He's from the Caribbean. Yes. Yes. From Jamaica.
40:23
Mhm. So Biggie would be my number one. By the way, everybody with the last name Wallace thinks they're related to
40:28
Biggie. And they're all for everybody. Really? Yes. Trust me. So my last name is Wallace.
40:34
It is lying. I was about to say what? She lying. Psych.
40:40
She lying. Oh, that was a good That was a good one. Well played. Well played. Um, okay. So, we said Biggie is number
40:46
one. Um, okay. I got I got Wayne in there somewhere.
40:52
Oh, Wayne. Yes, I got Wayne there somewhere. Can't wait for that. Versus
40:58
verses. What's that? Versus cash money and no limit. Oh, is they going to do a versus?
41:03
Yeah, I didn't know that. But they're family. How do they do that? Uh, money, I guess. I don't know
41:10
when I have not heard that. Next month. Next month.
41:15
Cash money. No limit. And Wayne will be there. Wow. All the hot boys except Turk. They done
41:22
kicked Turk out. It's in Vegas. What? I didn't hear anything about that. You
41:28
got the inside connect cuz you all hip hop. Definitely got the inside. Are you covering it? I ain't going to Vegas for that.
41:35
Retrospect. Come on. Let's go together. Why? Well, maybe. Maybe we go. Yeah. Like family. Come on. We all going
41:41
to go. Okay. What's the return of versus fly? Yeah.
41:47
I remember um X bought it. X bought the Versus platform and then it
41:52
was I think Swiss and Timberland sold it to X, right? I think something something partnered with
41:58
partnered with them but we haven't I haven't heard anything almost since right it didn't work out so they just
42:04
kept it moving plus Elon Musk was kind of he still is yeah yeah
42:13
you know he slowed up he's like I like living shut up right
42:18
let us shut up on that note so you got what you said big vibes cartel
42:24
no Yeah. Yeah. Wayne. Um, what should I tell Wayne? What about Shaba Ranks? Y'all don't be
42:30
mentioning Shaba Ranks. Mention. Did I mention Shaba Ranks in the car today? I just mentioned him.
42:35
He don't get enough love. Am I Did I miss something with him? No. No. You know, definitely. Shout out
42:41
to Shaba Ranks. Okay. Absolutely. He is definitely a legend in his own right. For sure. 10,000%.
42:48
So, who else? Two more. No, that's not my list. Um, because you know got intertwined, you
42:55
know, in the beginning. Anyway, um okay, Biggie, Wayne, I love me some Wayne. I
43:01
love um vibes and who else
43:06
now? You had all that time. I know, right? Would you say any females on your list?
43:12
I would like that whole thing you did. Can I do that, too? Would you mind if I stole that?
43:17
You got the four. You got the What do you The conglomerate. That's what we're calling. No, you can't do her. Oh, he said no. It's his house. Why?
43:24
He said it's his house. He just did it. I want to take it. It's his house. He said no. We came here together.
43:30
I got a person. No. Oh, I heard that, too. All right.
43:36
That's why I said it low cuz I knew she I didn't know what she No, I really really love I really really love Biggie. I really love what Biggie
43:42
did. Like I really I'm just Me, too. All right. Go ahead. You want to say Oh, Dr. Dre.
43:48
Dr. Dre. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Shout out to Dr. Dre. I met I met him this year. Well, I've met him before, but this year
43:54
he was mad cool. I met him at the Grammys for sure. He was taking pictures that album inside
44:02
out. I go, "Yeah, nowadays everybody want to talk, but they got something to say, but then comes out when they move the list. Just a bunch of jeer."
44:09
Okay. Okay. You You got to start rapping more bars. Bars. You got one more.
44:17
Oh [ __ ] Damn. Thought I was done. Um, all right. I said Nas.
44:24
No, you a say. You didn't say Nas. What's wrong with you?
44:29
Listen, she tired. I'm gonna get Yeah, you tired. Biggy vibes.
44:34
Biggy vibes. Wayne Wayne. Um, and the last one I said I said Biggie
44:41
vibes Wayne Dre. Dr. Dre. And one more [ __ ]
44:46
Um, can I just steal her four? Go ahead. No, I think No, I I I refuse.
44:53
You know Patra, you know somebody. I know. I know. I'm not saying I like Patra. I like Patrick. I had a crush on
45:00
Patra. Who? My cousin.
45:06
