Roc Nation to release Exposing Parchman documentary

So, Roc Nation's documentary about the prison in Mississippi is gonna be premiering on A&E

Let's talk hip hop. All right, yo, this situation is crazy, right? Because Roc Nation, they produced a documentary

about Parchman Prison, right? Parchman Prison is the oldest state penitentiary in Mississippi

And I don't know if y'all remember, but about three years ago, during the pandemic

Parchman, they were in the news a lot for the conditions that their prisoners were under

right? Yo Gotti is somebody who really, really was vocal about this whole situation

You guys know that he's down with Roc Nation, Reform, and Meek Mill as well. And all of these

guys, Robert Kraft, Michael Rubin, Meek Mill, Jay-Z, and Yo Gotti, have all been trying to

bring light to conditions that prisoners face every single day, right? So, the whole situation

is that they called Parchman Prison to the fire, man. And it seems like after an investigation

that they realized that they were violating the 8th and 14th amendments of the prisoners

in Parchman, right? So, they started to film a documentary. Roc Nation did the documentary

Yo Gotti is the one who put money behind that doc, which is crazy. And so, now it's gonna

premiere on June 17th at 8pm on A&E, right? Tameka Mallory will be in the documentary. Yo Gotti

Jay-Z, a lot of people that are down with Reform, other activists, and people like that who have

been fighting against Parchman for years. So, it should be a pretty cool thing, and this is what

they do, right? They bring to light, or put this right in your living room, right in front of your

face, the injustice that's going on with people who are in the prison system, right? From being

locked up unjustly, to being locked up way too long, to just having horrible conditions

dirty conditions, it being too cold, it being too hot, it being too whatever, right? So, I think

that it's dope that they're bringing this to the forefront. And yeah, let me know what y'all think
