Doja Cat becomes the only rapper to have a number 1 Billboard song this year

number one rap song this year. Let's talk hip hop. Aight yo this situation is crazy right because

Doja Cat has scored the first number one rap song in the entire year 2023 right. So y'all know the

whole situation man hip hop is uh going through a bad streak right now there has been no there's

zero number one hip hop records all year this year 2023 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts right

The last time there was a number one record was way back in like May of 2022 uh where it was

Nicki Minaj's song I think it was um Super Freaky Girl that was number one on the Billboard Hot 100

charts right. Um ever since then man nobody up until now uh which is Doja Cat with Paint the

Town Red right. This is crazy because Doja Cat joins only three other female rappers who have

had a number one record uh Nicki Minaj, Cardi B and of course Megan Thee Stallion right. Um thanks

to Doja Cat man hip hop is finally holding the number one position this year in 2023. I mean

pretty much all year it's been Taylor Swift right um and you know Doja Cat came close she was number

three but now she crept up to being number one with Paint the Town Red right. Um so I think that

is pretty fire man and she just keeps breaking records it's ill because Doja Cat you guys know

she's more like a pop star not a rapper. Um a lot of people were saying that she was definitely more

pop leaning until Doja Cat came out responding and said okay watch I'm gonna show y'all with this new

album how I'm going to really rap on this right. Um she came out really rapping she also said her

other music which is Cash Grabs and like she doesn't even like her fans that like those that

music uh but this music is the real music that she fox with right. Um and it is pretty dope and
