Snoop Dogg supports the Double Hollywood strike

So, Snoop Dogg says he supports the double Hollywood strike. Let's talk hip hop

Aight, yo, this situation is crazy, right? Because Snoop Dogg says that he supports the double Hollywood strike, right

And you guys know the whole situation, man. The Writers Guild of America, they went on strike back in May, like May 2nd

But then all the SAG actors, they went on strike on July 14th, like three days ago

So pretty much, it's a double Hollywood strike is what people are calling it, right

Snoop Dogg, he spoke about this. He kind of suggested that rappers or artists probably should go on strike too

because they're not getting paid for streams. He says, I don't understand that if you get a billion streams, you don't get a million dollars

He said it's not adding up. If you were supposed to get a certain percentage of the song

if it's streamed all that many times, then you get the certain percentage. It's pretty cut and dry, right

Numbers don't lie, right? Snoop said, look, we got to join like they're joining

These dudes, they're not getting paid from the streaming services. I mean, they get paid initially when they write something for a movie or a series

But when that movie or series then goes to Hulu, they don't get paid for that

And then if it goes on HBO Max or Netflix, they don't get paid for that

And so that's why these actors and the writers are striking, because they want to get paid

If the producers are getting more money, they should be getting more money too, right

So Snoop feels the same way, man. He's like, these streaming platforms are paying the record labels hand over foot

But the artists, they're not seeing any money behind that. And that is messed up, man

So Snoop supports them. And he's saying he does. He wants artists to go on strike too
