(AllHipHop Rumors) I am happy for ASAP Rocky. That man is home and already causing controversy. He hasn't had this much press in his entire career. I think the good people over in Sweden did him a favor! BUT, he's only on bail. He still faces jail time and Trump has personally promised the Swedes that he will comply with the terms of bail. Lets get to why people are pissy with him. Apparently, when Rocky made it home, he found himself partying with some white girls.
Personally, I don't care. There was a few mass shootings this weekend and I am mentally drained. But people seem to be mad at ASAP for not coming home to party with The Black Community. I am cracking up! Black people supported him so heavy and then he comes home and does NOT PARTY WITH US? WELP!
But, guess who he did go party with on a Sunday? Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, who friends of Donald Trump./ It amazes me that Trump has been able to flip so many Black people by using his colored props.
I mean, people knew what they were supporting when they collectively backed this young Harlem rapper. This shouldn't upset them or make him lose sight that he's just a kid. I'm kidding. My dude is over 30.
By the way, ASAP got skewered over the barbie when he said some foul stuff about Mike Brown, Black Lives Matter and whatever. But, what most have not acknowledged is that he clarified those comments later. Here is the clarification:
“It was a misrepresentation of what I was saying. That’s where the conflict is. At the end of the day, you’ve got a 60-something-year-old European man interviewing me who don’t know much about nothing. I’m talking with teeth in my mouth, I’ve got a slur. I’m not trying to make excuses.”
“I would love to change the world. I don’t know where to start, though. I actually don’t know what to do. It’s like you damned if you do, you damned if you don’t.”
“That kinda light is what I want to represent. Pac didn’t only just put on for Black men because after he was dead and gone, his legacy outlived what he was doing because he stood for something greater and I think it was unity and I think it was awareness, self-awareness, especially at a time when Black people were down and we didn’t really know much about ourselves. Now that we got more awareness and we got more Internet, I think this whole crab in a barrel mentality do need to stop.”
“We know that they stop, they get frisked, all this other stuff. I’m saying the best thing for us to do is at the end of the day, how we gonna all be militant if we not as a unit?” he says. “You got brothers saying, ‘Alright, when the cops kill us, we gotta all stick together, but when it’s all said and done, it’s back to fuck you and fuck you or whatever,’ that mentality, that crabs in a barrel. Pardon me for sounding insensitive, it is that field nigga – house nigga mentality, you get what I’m saying? It’s to the point where if we don’t unify, it’s like how could you be militant? How could you start a revolution? ‘Pac was trying to do that before he died, but you can’t do it alone.”
ASAP Rocky thanked his fans, by the way.
“I can’t begin to describe how grateful I am for all of you. This has been a very difficult and humbling experience.”
He also thanked Sweden.
“I want to thank the court for allowing me Bladi and Thoto to return to our family and friends.”
Anyway, remember ASAP and friends are not out of the woods yet. He's just out on bail. He could still do some time, but I don't think so.
