Did Jay-Z Talk To Kap About His NFL Partnership?

Jay said he talked to Kap about the deal but his girlfriend Nessa and lawyer say they never spoke to each other.

(AllHipHop Rumors) Jay-Z's new deal with the National Football League has been one of the biggest news stories of the week. Many people are questioning the “God Mc’s” motives for partnering with the NFL after their blackballing of Colin Kaepernick for his protesting the National anthem. Jay attempted to quiet some of his critics by saying that he a conversation with Kap about the partnership with the NFL. But some have said that is not true at all! Hot 97 personality and girlfriend of Kaepernick Nessa and his lawyer Mark Geragos both claim that no conversation ever happened. YIKES

“THIS is a lie. COLIN never spoke to Jay-Z and NFL ahead of that deal being done. They NEVER included him in any discussion,” Nessa said on Twitter.

Rumors of Jay and the NFL’s agreement came to light on Tuesday (August 13). The two sides formally revealed the deal at a press conference on Wednesday. Roc Nation will serve as the league’s “live music entertainment strategist,” and Hov will be involved in the NFL’s social justice initiative Inspire Change.

When asked whether or not Kap will be involved, Jay said, “You’d have to ask him. I’m not his boss. I can’t just bring him into something. That’s for him to say.”

“Everyone’s saying, ‘How are you going forward if Kap doesn’t have a job?’ This was not about him having a job,” he explained. “That became part of it. We know what it is — now how do we address that injustice? What’s the way forward?”
