Did Salt-N-Pepa Tell The Lovely Spinderella To Kick Rocks?

We are about to go back - way back into time!

(AllHipHop Rumors) I don't know how much you all know about Hip-Hop, but let's take a trip back into time and bring it to the present day. Salt-N-Pepa is a pioneering rap group that burst on the scene in the 1980's and really blew up in the 1990's. They were special for a number of reasons, including their ability to go pop without selling out and...they had a female DJ. DJ Spinderella was unique. She was the first prominent female DJ (in my opinion and to my knowledge). She was also sexy too! Here is their album cover with Spin included.

Now, it should be noted that Spinderella was not the group's original DJ, but she did come after the second album. That said, I have always felt there was a disconnection of some sort in how they treated her. I could be wrong, but that's just how it seemed to me as time went on. ANYWAY, the group NOW has been together for over 30 years now and they have continued to work, record and tour. This journey has not been without bumps and turbulence.

Spinderella posted something on IG that got the OG Rap Nation in a frenzy, basically saying that she would no longer be included in a tour with New Kids On The Block even though her image was promoted in the package. She also stated that S-N-P (the two rappers) sent her a letter a ways back informing her as such. And yet, they still keep using her likeness to sell the show. Here is what she said:

“I'm deeply saddened to share with all the #SaltnPepa and #Spinderella fans that I will not be performing on the #NKOTB Mixtape Tour. Despite my participation in promoting the tour and being highly publicized as one of the acts, in January 2019 I received a ‘termination’ email from #SaltnPepa excluding me from performances with the group. It was my expectation, after making that decision, that they would also take responsibility for sharing the news with the public and other affected parties. It has been months now with no mention. Out of love for my fans and a commitment to upholding a standard of professionalism, I've taken it upon myself to let everyone know. I refuse to participate in misleading fans, ticketholders, and others who -- based on all the advertising -- were anticipating seeing the iconic #SaltnPepa and #Spinderella trio. So, I'm making it clear now. Please know you will have the opportunity to see me this summer in many other projects and activities I'll be participating in and I look forward to seeing you all then.” Thank you,
Spinderella 😘

And here is the promo she's referring to.

The rumor mill is saying that Spin was kicked out of the group. BUT, she never said that. She just said that she will not be included on this New Kids On The Block tour. She is also involved in some show on BET and another tour with SWV, which is a better overall concert situation in my OG opinion. People really don't read. Now, this does NOT mean they do not have an issue, but it just means she didn't say that she was kicked out or something. It does seem to be a bit weird to treat a group member like that, but I would assume a few things after 30 years. 1) This is strictly business with the members in the group. And 2) the money is probably on the low side with the NKOTB situation.

Lastly, how are these guys still called "The New Kids On The Block" now that they are about 50 years old? I think they are the Old Heads On The Block about now.

And peace to SpinDeezy! She's going to be more than alright!

Most people have never even seen a DJ spin with 2 actual records.

And one time for a classic.
