OK! People are dissecting the Jay-Z / Beyonce album and I wanted to drill down on the part where he goes at Drake! The song is "Boss" and it is pretty clear.
Hundred million crib, three million watch, all facts
No cap, false nigga you not a boss, you got a boss
Niggas getting jerk, that sh*t hurts, I take it personally
Niggas rather work for the man than to work with me
Just so they can pretend they on my level, that sh*t is irkin' to me
Pride always goeth before the fall, almost certainly
It's disturbing what I gross (What I gross!)
Survey says you not even close (Not even close)
Everybody's bosses, to the time that pay for the office
To them invoices, separate the men from the boys
Over here we measure success by how many people successful next to you
Here we say you broke if everybody gets broke except for you
DAMN, JAY! Why you go at him like that? Well, let me explain. When Jay first did that deal with Tidal, Apple and them started to vamp up too. They decided to pull some of the talent pool their way. People like Beyonce and others keep the lights on at Tidal and Drake would have been an excellent addition too! But Drake went over to Apple, not Jay. It is my understanding the Jay was not pleased by this. He and Drake fell out of favor even though they have a few songs together.
Drake cannot afford another L right now. I hope and pray he chills. Push the album back to September. Get out the way of these two. Beyonce is bussin shots like she's a rapper on Everything Is Love! Sounds more like Everything Is Beef!
