Yesterday marked the 10-year anniversary of the tragic death of TLC member, Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, who died in a fatal car accident in Honduras at the age of 30. A rep for the group told TMZ that Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins and Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas were currently working on a massive 2012 reunion tour in the U.S., and that the tour will allegedly include a hologram of deceased member Lisa "Left Eye" Lopez.
Well, today the Washington Post is reporting that, although Left Eye will be incorporated in the tour, it won't be as a two-dimensional hologram a la Tupac at Coachella.
T-Boz later said on Twitter that the group did not give a statement to TMZ and does not have five shows already booked. A rep further clarified the situation saying:
“The image is not a hologram,” the rep said. “The girls have done shows before with footage of old performances showing Lisa performing with them on a screen as they perform.”
In addition to a tour, T-Boz and Chill told Essence they are planning to do a new album. There's also a bio-pic possibly with VH-1 on the way!
